movies, movies, movies. them Oscars always remind me of all the films i haven't seen, have seen but still don't own, and haven't seen and sacrifice many small animals to keep it that way.

this year's Oscars remind me that; i LOVE Ben Hur and wonder why i don't own it; need to go out and buy Pirates of the Carribean because it amused the fek out of me; can't believe we didn't go see Lost in Translation on the big screen but will go purchase said film; am vascillating over whether to see Mystic River and 21 Grams because they both look compelling to me but i've *really* got to be in the mood to watch depressing movies; Pixar continues to thoroughly kick Disney's ass in terms of storytelling quality; Mark Odesky and New Line Cinema should have gotten an honorary "biggest cajones" award for taking the risk with Lord of the Rings; it was most excellent to see Johnny Depp and his wife in attendance at the Oscars and i loved how genuinely happy he was that Sean Penn got Best Actor; that first Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry and now Charlize Theron have won major awards for portraying women that aren't drop dead beautiful; and finally, that i love the Hobbits. well and truly. i'm besotted. and boy, can Dom sing....and he has rather haunting beautiful eyes in person. *sigh*

looks like i'm gonna have to watch the damned channel again. grrr.

seems like they've brought over the BBC original series Touching Evil, which starred Robson Greene. mmmmmmm, Robson.

so USA's version stars Jeffrey Donovan. folks may recognize this yummy hunk of maleness when he had a reoccurring role as Kyle, Jarrod's brother in The Pretender, and also a very bittersweet guest role as Daniel Germaine in Witchblade, season 2. he played the roman soldier that mocked Christ, cursed to walk the earth for eternity.

the character name will even be the same, Dave Creegan. the USA Networks version has Keegan as having died after having been shot, survived the shooting and eventually came back to work...different. not sure how they'll treat that, but the short teaser looked interesting and i've enjoyed his acting so, i'll give it a shot. there's a very funny line in the teaser where his fellow detective asks him what being dead was like...he says..."there was a Starbucks on every corner." hee.

executive producer this is Bruce Willis. yes, that Bruce Willis, along with the Hughes Brothers and Arnold Rifkin. not a bad lead staff, so, it has the potential to not suck.

stupid USA. how am i supposed to stay LFN bitter if they put on a good show. damn it.

you are a slave to your muse
You write because it's that or invest in a padded
cell - story ideas just come to you, and demand
to be written. You see the scenes in your
head; the characters are all hanging out
between your ears having very interesting
conversations. Maybe you're crazy - or maybe
you just have a gift.
