so, some of you may recall the VerizonRants about 6 months ago over our dsl service problems, and that i was so frustrated that i went with my local cable provider for my dsl service. well, those Verizon FUCKTARDS never actually cancelled my dsl and has been charging me for it ALL THIS TIME. but wait...there's more. they cancelled my phone service over it.

this has been a two week hassle with them, but, thanks to two very FABULOUS Verizon employees, it's all finally fixed.

Dana, employee extraordinaire at the Verizon store in the Hellmouth, has gone SO far above and beyond that she is going to be getting some yummies from Santa...along with her co-workers, natch. i had to go so far as to get a printout of my cable account from my cable company, showing the actual date i got cable dsl, because the fucking bitch female i spoke to at Verizon dsl said there was nothing WHATSOEVER on my account that showed i'd ever had any problems with my service. so, i went in and Dana made a copy of my copy, and she offered to call the dsl folks on her OWN the next business day and then call me back.

that was today. and Dana came through and then FABULOUS employee number two, Katie, also came through. she was able to credit me all but 40 bucks, of almost $300, back to my phone bill. she couldn't go that last bit because it was over her employee limit and then it would be a hassle with supervisors and might get turned down. she apologized profusely, and not in an obnoxious, not really meaning it way, for the bitca that i had first talked to and said there was no reason for that, or for that person not to see what was right there on the account.

Katie then gave me a handy reference number, and i called Verizon. that also helpful employee said it was all taken care of, but that my number had been changed. i flipped a little and did the "but, but...they PROMISED!!!!", and she said she'd transfer me to yet ANOTHER number and they'd double check. that FOURTH fabulous Verizon employee did in fact verify that nope, my number's still mine and should be on later today.

i squeed. possibly in her ear. she then made the mistake of pitching dsl service to me, very politely, and i laughed on the phone. a lot.

i love getting vindicated, but more, i love it when cogs in the Machine help me do it. thank you fabulous Verizon employees, you rock the house. except for that evil bitch, who's getting COAL in her stocking.

And I am trembling in fear just a little, as I just started with Verizon for DSL, as I can't afford cable yet.

i think part of the problem with my service in particular is that we're on the very edge of the port for them. so if you're not, you may not have any problems at all. and even when i was having trouble, the tech support folk were very, very cool. they just couldn't fix it, and then when they found a solution, no one ever actually put the order through again and we got screwed so i said, fuck it.
