apropos to nothing: i saw my first ep of veronica mars. i get this armed forces satellite thing out here. anyway, it looks good. correct me if i'm wrong, but in this ep, she (v. mars) helps some kid find his dad...and dad turns out to be, well, mom. in the same ep veronica's dad starts chatting up her guidance counselor (or some kind of school authority figure.) the woman he's talking to looks amazingly like the "porno" actress jeremy from sports night falls for in the bar after breaking up with natalie. uh, i think. if, i'm right, i'm sure glad she's getting work. that sports night arc was one of the best e-v-e-r on tv in my book.
