well fuckity. fuck, fuck, fuckity...fuck. :::flails:::

i set my alarm so i could get up and get my hair cut. yep. turned it off and fell right back to sleep. woke up 20 minutes after my appointment. now i have to wait till friday. fuck. although, i'm lucky it's winter. if this were summer, it'd be weeks before i could get in to see her again. daammmmmmmmmmmnit. :::flails again:::

and then i see the press release about Skiffy shifting BSG's season 3 air date to October.

that's right, sports fans. they're breaking their own rules and going head to head with the nets. if NBCU fucks this up, so help me gods, i will blow them into little, itty, bitty, tiny pieces and then feed them to the dog. otoh, of course, i suppose we fans should be happy that it's SO FRAKKING HUGE that NBC is even manuevering it into a place to be either re-purposed on NBC or moved entirely.

but we're Farscape fans, so, yeah no.

little, itty, bitty, tiny pieces.

they'd better not fuck it up, if only because i am too old for the shit of another campaign.

Oh no. Please tell me you're kidding.

As for the alarm-that's why after I set it, I fling it on the floor as far as I can send it. That way I have to crawl half way out of bed to turn it off. Hey, it works.

yeah. i want to trust them, and there has to be a really good reason why they think they can pull this off, so, you know, yay for BSG...but....yeah, still a bitter, jittery Farscape fan.

Ah, Skiffy.

They must get such glee from screwing good shows over. It's practically becoming a sport with them.

:::waves hello:::

well, i have to say, i really believe that this is a good thing for both BSG in particular and the genre at large, but i just personally can't get that niggling fear to quiet in the back of my mind.

this is Skiffy's breakout hit. giving them a prestige they haven't seen since Farscape, and lost completely because of Farscape, so i think they aren't screwing with BSG but being the Farscape fan that i am, it just automatically gives me pause.

ahhhh, Skiffy.

Possibly *g*

As you said, Skiffy burned a lot of people with what they did to Farscape. If it works out will, then good for them. But Farscape was their number 2 show when they decided to cancel it, so I still maintain that they are lacking in good judgement most of the time.

Of course, if it does give the genre more prestige and recognition, then yay! But knowing skiffy, they could screw things up so easily. (I'm such a bitter fan :)

Took me a few years after they canceled Farscape to even watch that station again. There was just too much anger...

But I'm okay now.. sorta :)

I really think they are trying to put it out there in the "look at our awesome show" manner. I don't watch anything else on Fridays during the year other than Sci-Fi so I don't se any conflicts in my watching.

But...

At the same time I feel like twitching uncontrolably with this burning sensation in the back of my head.

this NBC rumor...i don't see it happening. switching to NBC i mean. but i'm going to check into it at work. i'll still have connections there once i'm gone and the nets should announce their fall line-ups to us soonish (like in a couple of months) so i'll see what i can find out in the meantime. :)

i think there would have to be some compelling reason to do so, but i don't see it necessarily as a foregone conclusion. maybe the shift is a toe in the water.

yeah maybe. i think they'd have to be super confident in the show, and while its done well, i'm not conivinced it could hold its own against the non-genre nets. b/c the genre shows on the nets aren't overly genrelike nor are they overly good nor are they doing well. i'm at work now so as soon as certain folk get in i'll see what i can find out. :D

yeah it will. as much as i had issues/disappointments with the season finale i am certainly still a fan and am interested to see where they take the show (story-wise and physically heh).
