eta:
i love Dick. he's such a fun jackass, and i think that he really is a true friend to Logan because none of that stuff matters to him. i don't see him as judgemental in a cruel kind of way.
love that the ep was filmed at my alma mater, San Diego State, and i derived great amusement from what i think was a shout out to alumni in the form of the Pi Sigma plot line. Pi Kappa Alpha, aka the Pikes, were a very rich frat that lost their charter, i wanna say in late 87 or 88, for doing just that. i was so proud of the school, and the fraternity authorities, for pulling their charter and not just simply slapping the house with a censure. i could, of course, be wrong about the association, and it could be just a coincidence, but i don't think so. the name was too similar.
i miss that school. it was nice to see the pretty campus on my telly.
also loved the whole Hanna/Logan plot line. how they resolved it, with Logan being a grown up and owing up to Hanna for what he did. last year's Logan wouldn't have, i think. and i love that he was so tender and vulnerable with her, and that they were separated by events out of their control really. sets up the possibilities of Logan and Veronica quite nicely, and in a way that's totally plausible. i adored last week's ep when she said that if the love of her life showed up she'd be over at the espresso machine, and then in walked Logan...and his admission that he'd done something horrible. and that he went to her to tell her at all.
and HUGE love for Daddy Mars. "Dad? Your hooker's here." *snerk*
