We watched Dalek the other night on DVD. Yes, creeped out, but they did a good job paralleling the Doctor and the Dalek. I liked that a lot.
*looks at icon* I just got done watching those eps for the second time, and oh yes, they're definitely my favorites. Oh, oh, except in saying that I forgot about Bad Wolf. Ack, so hard to pick a favorite.
Ah, I'm not going to choose. I'm just not going to choose. I love them all.
I completely missed the Bad Wolf references when I watched the first time. Like, the Doctor mentioned it in Boom Town, and I was like, "what?" and then they had to go back through the flashbacks and I saw them and boggled.
'Course, I also watched all 13 episodes in a row in one sitting on my couch hunched over my laptop with earphones, from 11pm to 11am the next day. So, maybe I didn't quite catch everything at first viewing.
Well actually it was the Children in Need mini-ep, but by then I was pretty delirious. It was more like, "Ack! But thank God it's done because I've got to TA a lab in an hour (and it's a 35-minute drive away)."
hmm....not sure about Bad wolf, but I've only seen the few they've showed on SciFi.:D
But the dalek was freaky, but also very sad. I feel like I'm missing so much backstory-like I'd understand, and feel more with it if I had seen all the other ones, or read about them, or something. But I'm way too lazy to go looking it up. For now. lol
don't bother. you really don't need it, as the backstory i think you think your missing is actually what was created for the new series. you're not missing any actual eps where this great war took place.
as to Bad Wolf, DON'T ANYBODY SPOIL HER DAMNIT!!! :::eyes flist sternly:::
