if France had taken that view when we were at war with the British, we'd be a colony still. if we had taken that view during the Civil War, this nation wouldn't stand.

Date: 2006-05-07 06:54 am (UTC)the security of the middle east is crucial to the security of the world. we supposed to walk away because the rest of the world won't step up to the plate? we aren't, btw, losing.
Saddam is caught. His sons are dead. Perhaps, if a more democratic government could be installed and stay in business, Iraq could stabilize the area, but I don't see that happening.
