the woman really does have cancer.

and she really is dying.

and the family does really need help.

we raised money for a tv show. however brilliant, it was still just a silly little show populated by puppets and pretty people.

we raised a lot of damn money. and we did it beautifully and in a way that *still* earns the fandom respect, both from within and from Hollywood.

this woman, though? she's what matters. if anybody's got a buck or two, or twenty, maybe send it her way. if anybody doesn't, do as imaginarycircus suggests and at least pimp the link, because the real world is what matters. which is, after all, why we did what we did for that silly little tv show; the people in it mattered.
