*flist surfing* I can't stop reading it! So captivating and crazy. I knew of some of that stuff and I have never had anything to do with HP fandom. I caught wind of it when people were being all anti-Christian because of her stories about crazy Christians and HP Christians etc and it spread all over the nets. Of course I knew that no fundy Christian would have her kid in a daycare service (stay at home moms - come on!) in the first place, but the wave of fandom hate is hard to beat back when fixed on a subject like that. Still, all of the damage she did in the HP Christian community to this day...stunning. *reads more*

Finished it and all of the comments. There was much more there than I could have thought possible. At least 30% of ALL HP wank was created by one person and reverberating through the internets to this day. Sad thing is that this is a fandom/internet issue, not just HP's. Every fandom seems to have a bit of this here and there. Crazy stuff, but just a few clicks of the mouse away at all times it seems.

it just cease to boggle my mind. and yeah, the depths that one batshit crazy person fan went to simply to be "famous" caused SO MUCH damage. hopefully, this will get filed at wikipedia under "Object Lesson".
