i get the strangest phone calls

so i'm doing the production design for a student film for Cal State Northridge. a buddy is doing the cinematography and he falls into the "anything for you, dude" category. the producer for the project left me the following voicemail.

"hey. i have a question that i know you know the answer to, so call me."

i was asleep since i worked a 15 hour shift unintentionally.

so i get up and call him back.

"what's up, dude?"

"so, you know that stuff that you spray on that's not permanent?"

"streaks and tips?"

"yes! where can i find it in san diego? my friend's on a project."

"uhm, a beauty supply place? although stu segal has production facilities down there so there's probably a place that sells to the trade."

"yeah, she does production design and she's working on Veronica Mars."
