if the radio station itself isn't being paid to air segments specifically geared to promoting one side or the other of the upcoming initiative, i fail to see how two guys on a talk show that are, wait for it, talking about a local issue, can possibly be construed as falling under that bullshit campaign law.
methinks some folks need to take a look at the constitutional definition of "free speech" again.

and to anyone that would counter with, "but i wasn't talking about you specifically", i reply that statement is backpedaling of the worst kind, and that dog won't hunt. when you said "everyone that...", it included me.

Jul. 9th, 2005 10:41 pmduuuuuuuuuude. i accidentally clicked to a board that is FULL of HP spoilers for Half Blood Prince. whoa. i continue to be amazed at fans' capacity to ferret out spoilers. i'm pretty sure i backed away fast enough. *whew*
next week, btw, is going to be the best.week.ever. Comic-Con. the premieres of SG-1 and BSG...at Comic-Con no less. and the release of Half Blood Prince.
