"Bernadette is writing this in her pajamas."

:::falls over laughing:::

they riffed Gilbert and Sullivan. that ep was out of the fucking ballpark.

i love Sorkin. i do. i really do.

if they find a way to bring in Josh Charles and Peter Krause, i will be Sorkin's h0r forever....oh wait.

*sigh* The episode did nothing for me. Well, that's not entirely true -- it gave me boredom. Everything about this show just seems entirely too self-important to me, and every point they're trying to make seems too overdone or clunky. I wish I liked this show, I really do, but it's seriously not clicking with me.

The G&S and the reference to the fans on the 'Net puts me in mind of a couple of my classic West Wing eps, with Ainsley and Sam, and LemonLymon.com.

I expect it will be a while before I separate the new show from the old one, but for now the echoes amuse me.

it took me awhile to separate Sports Night from The West Wing; I suppose it will happen here as well.

right now, it's the dialogue that's catching me, not so much the characters yet as they seem to be carbon copies of others i've seen in Sorkin-verse. We shall see.

I have no other Monday night must-see-tv, so I'll settle in for the ride.

I somehow managed to overlook Sports Night, but so many folks talk it up that I 'spose I'll have to do the catch-up thing. Much as I'm doing with due South, where I'm still working through season one, and realize that it'll be a while before I get to the second Ray. (I don't want to rush that, because the first Ray deserves to appreciated for his own self.)
