the stubborn bastage would never do that. it is in essence true to form. he prolly won't believe it's all over till he's kicking against the drop-board. Personally I think he should be gassed with Sarin, the same gas he used on the Kurds. It's a nerve gas of violent and excruciating death...

as a side note, I think it interesting how much coverage was given to how much violence there would be if he was sentanced to death... would anyone reasonably assume there would be no violence if he was aquitted? It would probably be worse, actually, there really isn't a case where things wouldn't be ugly.

yes, but that gives them a way to report on the verdict without actually doing anything that might be construed as telling the truth or supporting the Bush Administration. talking about the potential violence lets them still get their digs in and blame the US.

and then they'd get to rejoice and gloat, and just like post 9/11 they'd be able to parade around their "we deserved it" rationales instead of making any attempt to honestly examine the complexities of the elephant that they all know is standing in the middle of the room.
