hol-ee.cow. someone's making "Harrison Bergeron" into a film. /stunned

go Moving Picture Institute for funding it.

"Harrison Bergeron, based upon Kurt Vonnegut’s story of the same title, is a darkly comic social satire, it is set in the year 2081, when, “thanks to the 211th, 212th, and 213th amendments to the Constitution and the unceasing vigilance of the United States Handicapper General, everyone is finally equal.” The story beautifully illustrates both the folly and the tragedy of a societal effort to legislate equality."

and speaking of films...did i tell you guys that i just scored my first screenwriting credit? no? :::winces::: sorry. i did. *nods*. for the gang film that i did the production design for back in late October. the director called a couple weeks ago, to ask if it was okay, if he gave me the credit because i'd helped him so much with the story. i was both deeply touched at his generosity and impressed as all hell. they just finished a picture lock on Monday and submitted it for Cal State Northridge's film Showcase. don't know if it's in yet. and i just got the cd of the stills i took - using the gaffer's ZOMGSOWICKEDLYCOOL digicam - so i'll post some of my favorite shots later today.

and in tv news i came across the other day, Sir Ridley is executive producing the mini-series remake of the film The Andromeda Strain. the geek in me is happy like whoa.

congratufrellinglations on the credit, because I know well you deserve it... sometimes generosity is repaid... *hugstight*

a reply in order;

*hugsyouback*...and yes, i believe it does repay.

i KNOW!!!!!! and that's *precisely* what i loved about The Incredibles, yo.

:::crosses fingers::: i lurved the film. it was creepy as all hell, and wonderfully acted. and a mini certainly gives them room to fill the world out more fully. although, the claustrophobia of the view certainly added to the suspense and paranoia.
