kinda kills that old romantic notions of newspaper editors and reporters... guess all it takes now is a bean-counter with an understanding of ad rates, and a well spoken helpdesk person who can double as a tech writer, who wishes to make some extra money working on the side in Bangalore. :massive eyeroll:

guess they've forgotten that people read newspapers and other news outlets for NEWS, not as a segue into advertisements. Which works better for the bottom line? Making yourself relevant for all types of media presentation, or making yourself irrelevant for any media presentation? Oh wait, these are the people that stabilize the plane untill 5000 feet, and then hit the golden parachute, since their stabilization job is done... I forgot...

It's like when I call tech support for Dell or my ISP. They're all in India. Only how can you expect a guy in India who watches the meetings over the internet but has no understanding of American politics to be able to write 15 coherent articles a week? It's stupid.

As an aside, wg, I sent you that vid in a misbegotten effort to cheer you up, having just heard a number of stupid 911 calls on TV. I have not lost my mind (yet). But I could hear you scratching your head over why I sent it all the way over here.
