from the WaPo, here's what Greenspan actually said.

"...Greenspan, who was the country's top voice on monetary policy at the time Bush decided to go to war in Iraq, has refrained from extensive public comment on it until now, but he made the striking comment in a new memoir out today that "the Iraq War is largely about oil." In the interview, he clarified that sentence in his 531-page book, saying that while securing global oil supplies was "not the administration's motive," he had presented the White House with the case for why removing Hussein was important for the global economy.

"I was not saying that that's the administration's motive," Greenspan said in an interview Saturday, "I'm just saying that if somebody asked me, 'Are we fortunate in taking out Saddam?' I would say it was essential."

wg, are you going to read his book? What about the OJ one? I'm afraid I wouldn't understand the first, and the second would give me cooties, even from afar.

OJ is a disgusting, miserable excuse for a human being and any woman who would want to be his girlfriend or even seen with him is so desperate she has no shame.

i've always been interested in Greenspan's policies, and Milton Friedman's too. but yeah, i'm totally worried it would go over my head.

OJ? who's that? is that like some sports drink or something?

Poor Bernanke; Greenspan still speaks and people still listen to him as if he's a god. Maybe he is, I dunno.

B's just got to earn the street cred. it's tough to ignore a guy like Greenspan that kept his job for, you know, decades, and rarely made a mistake.

OJ....isn't that like a slang for orange juice or something? orange juice wrote a book? what? :D
