Oct. 5th, 2007 06:22 pmmaybe i'm naive, but i think that winning a 200k plus expenses judgment against a single mother of 2 that makes 36k a year is only gonna piss people off MORE, and ignite a Robin Hoodesque sort of retaliatory behavior on the part of music downloaders. the RIAA is going the way of the dinosaurs and everybody knows it but them. i could feel bad about that, and yet......

McMegan wrote something about how she retroactively hates Sonny Bono for pushing through the legislation on copyright years ago. I can see copyright of 10 or 20 years... but 95? that fuels in part what the RIAA does simply by making that right a business right and not the individuals right:

But give more money to the RIAA and its members, after their bullying, their backwards thinking, and now this? Yeah, no...
