in real world news, the Director's Guild has announced they've reached a deal with the moguls. people way smarter than me are out looking for copy so they can over-analyze the fine print. here's hoping the deal doesn't suck and the Industry can get back to work.

no, not forgone. pattern bargaining means that wga and sag can take the deal if they choose, but aren't required. there's a mad scramble to assess and analyze right now but even that's tough because the actual contract document doesn't even exist yet. it's not done being drafted.
