Andrew Baron, the man who's father was dying of a rare cancer that could possibly be defeated by a MS drug, has replied to an email i sent him with good news:

I wanted to let you know we obtained the Tysabri and everything is going well. My dad seems to be responding to the medicine, he's back at home, and we are expecting the best....It was truly awesome to see so many people mobilize to help!!

There really needs to be a way that terminal patients can get access to experimental treatments without launching an internet campaign and getting politicians involved.
