first? we totally saw Jesus at a bus stop in Hollywood. /pinky swear. like someone took the guy right off any Renaissance painting, slapped a really huge, elegant, fully gold robe-ish thing on him and dropped him off. it was a tad disconcerting.

and then he got on the bus. "Cognitive Dissonance, party of three, your table's ready?"

in other news, this place is cool.

and now i have a question for those familiar with ballad bands from the late 70's/early 80's: just heard a song from a band called "Anberlin". i believe you can sample them here.

so, geniuses, who do they sound like? is it Foreigner a bit? especially in the song "The Unwinding Cable Car", from the Cities album, in the harmonies.

"Dismantle. Repair." starts off like Death Cab for Cutie. And then they sort of fall into that whole bandom thing, to my ears.

Foreigner was the first band that came to mind, but yeah, i don't think i'm right. it's just when the lead really opens up on the refrain and the harmonies he totally sounds like someone i can't put my finger on.
