firefox got a cookies hair up its ass and wouldn't let me log in to my gmail account. i had to fully and completely uninstall the browser and then re-install it before it worked again. oy.

on the upside, at least it worked. if i were still using IE as my primary - J, i'm lookin' at you - then it might never have been solved.

speaking of J....we made her go see Star Trek last night. :D her reactions while watching were almost as awesome as seeing the film again. best part: as soon as the credits started to roll, she leaned forward and said, "let's stay and see it again."

funniest line of the evening that's funnier in our collective LFN consciousness: "my tv boyfriend got cancelled"

yeah, cookies handling isn't a firefox strongsuit. I have to wrestle with THAT every stinkin' day... add in various versions of IE and 2000 users [some on macs], shake, and watch David's brain implode... OI.

Good for seein' trek again, though. Perhaps I will go again this weekend.

it's the first problem i've had, and i have to blame hulu.com actually. their site went wonky but i mistakenly thought hulu was kicking me off to force me to sign in...so, in mucking about with my cookies trying to be stealth, i somehow inadvertently told firefox to not allow cookies at gmail. :::rolls eyes::: naturally, i have no idea how i did that. :D

at TJH, i was in your boat, though, so my sympathies. mac laptop, linux desktop, windows secondary desktop, multiple browsers on several platforms. oy.
