dear Anheuser-Busch,

you rock my world.

the Super Bowl commercial you aired was the one of the classiest, most unabashedly patriotic things that i've seen on television in a long time. and this is coming from someone who doesn't even drink your beer. cuz it's bad. but whatever. you guys are amazing.

spontaneous standing ovations in an airport terminal for soldiers returning home from deployment. no dialogue. no fanfare. just a long, sustained round of applause, the faces of grateful soldiers meeting the faces of grateful citizens, and a fade to black with "thank you" in white letters. fucking excellent.

that National Anthem bit didn't suck either. nicely done.

Well they showed a commercial for a new beer they are making called "Select" (oooo catchy) that, get this, doesn't have an aftertaste.

I cried and cried. Unfortunately, the 30+ other people in the room snarked the entire commercial, so I also had to grit my teeth. But it really was a beautiful thing.

Did you catch the NFL produced reading of the Declaration of Independence by former players, coaches, owners and others?

I thought it was very impressive.

I also liked one thing that they had the Ben Franklin impersonator say, "We can hang together or we will HANG individually."
