it's one of the only roles that i have truly loved Liotta in. his Shoeless Joe Jackson was wise, sad, self-aware and a little rascal. loved him. and the last scene of the film just kills me. the guy that plays John Kinsella, Dwier Brown, just nailed it. presented with his deepest dream he's just short of terrified that if he blinks, it'll all go away. guh.
and then of course, James Earl Jones and Burt Lancaster. masters both.
