themonkeycabal were talking about what our call signs would be, if we, you know, had them. it was your standard conversation with us, all over the place and stream of consciousness-y....spook was particularly so, and thus her call sign was born. she is SOC. as in "stream of consciousness". it's pronounced "sock". i even like the meta reference to sock puppets it's got goin' on.
well, she finally got me back tonight. (i blame my search for call signs and finding that hysterical navy site tonight.) after making a rather crude comment in reference to a scene in BSG that she was recapping, she says..."TMI! hey! TMI. there's your call sign!" and then she said it phonetically and thus, my call sign was born. i am TIMI. as in "too much information"

she's says we should get those nextel phones now, just so we can bug the hell out of people with bogus radio traffic. see? SOC. heh.
