I have no idea... I can think of no good reason to defer to them, seeing as they are unsuccessful peacekeepers and country-builders..

Yup! along with all of that on top of their failures... remind me again why anybody pays their dues to the UN? and I'm so sad that Diplomad decided to close down their blog, because they gave such interesting insight into the UN and State Department.
