somedaybitchthis post requires a preface. i am not, in any way, interested in a real world debate because i am not, IN ANY WAY, perceiving this in the real world. the following rant is based entirely on what i perceive are HUGE storytelling screwups within the universe of BSG. so, if you're looking for a real world debate, go someplace else. seriously. i don't want to have to delete anyone's comments.
also? this is long. and perhaps needless to say, involves much profanity and a criminal overuse of the CapsLockOfRage.
hey Ron. do you even REMEMBER the miniseries? cuz you fucking wrote it, buddy. and i use the term "buddy" here loosely.
do you remember the part about the Colonies building Armistice Station, and sending a delegate every year for 50 fucking years? you remember that? do you remember the part when the Cylons finally show up, they murder the delegate, blow up the station, AND THEN NUKE THE FUCKING COLONIES WITHOUT PROVOCATION OR WARNING.
any of that sounding vaguely familiar to you?
or how about the closing scene in the mini? where they decide to HUNT THE HUMANS DOWN BECAUSE *THEY* FEAR REVENGE? not because of any valid, legitimate, proactive threat, but simply because that's what the Cylons think.

how about Season One and Season Two? remember any of that? how many times did the Cylons continue to butcher the survivors of the first genocide? do i honestly have to go back and fucking count them for you, jackass?
HOW MANY MORE POTENTIALLY GENOCIDAL ATTACKS DO THE COLONIALS HAVE TO PUT UP WITH BEFORE IT'S OKAY FOR THEM TO TRY AND WIPE THE CYLONS OFF THE FACE OFF THE UNIVERSE?????? is there some magic fucking number? 12 billion's not enough for you? killing the passengers of the Olympic Carrier, putting a nuke in it and sending it back to try and kill the survivors STILL not enough for you? having the Cylons relentlessly pursue the humans and whittle away at them not enough for you? having them conduct FATAL EXPERIMENTS on survivors still not enough for you?

and then there's Cottle, the poor bastard. now he's an asshole and has no problems experimenting on dying Cylons? the same guy that fought to save Sharon's life, and the Life of her baby? the same Cottle that was performing surgery on Cylons on New Caprica because he was trying to save their lives? that Cottle?

which brings me to Sharon. picking a fucking lane, asshole. she's either a sworn officer and member of Galactica's crew or she's not. it doesn't get to change to suit your whims every fucking week without plausibility. why would Cottle wait to process her last? if it's because he's worried that she'll infect the others and wants to get them out of quarantine asap then SAY THAT. because it doesn't make sense, at this point in the storyline, for Cottle to SUDDENLY decide he's got problems with her.
and why the fuck wasn't she in the meeting with Roslin????? hello? CYLON! wouldn't you ask her? wouldn't SOMEBODY ask her? "so, BoomShAthena...you think your homies gonna give it up? no? k. we didn't think it either. just wanted to double check since, you know, you're a Cylon and all, and came over to the other side."
BUT THE WORST PART IS IT WAS ALL FOR FUCKING NOTHING!!!!!!!
