themonkeycabal divulge that we got a cat the other day? cuz if'n she didn't, we did. *nods*
her name is Domino. she's white with black markings and she has a super-hero mask and her tail's disguised. spook came up with the name, some X-Men superhero person. we agreed before we left the petsmart that she *must* have a superhero name. eta: i also like the cred that goes with the name because Domino was the name of the character, portrayed by Jane Seymour, in the very bad ass Bond film Live and Let Die.
her original name was Birdie, named by the folks at Cats In Need, who took her from the owner after the cat ate his bird. the name irony escapes no one as we all mock the stupidity of the guy who was surprised a cat ate a bird. weirdo.
apparently, everyone loved her but no one would adopt her. she's 8 months, kinda bizarre and loves to play catch with the vaguely squid looking toy - she was a frisbee dog in another life - and seems to feel an overwhelming urge to give kisses and groom her owners....or at least me. i'm not sure what that says. makes her very dog-like though and this dog person appreciates it.
Casa de Guppy misses Pasha -sniffs- and the adoptacats -sniffs- and it's most excellent to have pitter patter petness roaming the joint.
