self-indulgent whining

somedaybitchi have to make a set model. 0_o
i haven't made an interior design model since college.
started it the other night - and the roomie, as always, had helpful design suggestions - but now after director/company prez/producer input, the model got a bazillion times more complicated.
on the downside, my xacto knife skilz are teh suxor, and with all that new input i'm now having to make a model that takes into account about 4 different design contingencies....like trying to make a 1/2" scale wall flat out of foam board that, in real life, is 2"x4"x8 with a 2'.6" jack attached. goooood timmmmmes.
on the upside, i couldn't find my architectural scale ANYWHERE, and when i hit up Office Fiasco for a new one and then verified the measurements of the work i'd already done, my ghetto way of doing it was spot on. that didn't suck. and the more i cut, the better my mad xacto skilz get. although i seem to have a serious problem with unintentionally bevelling edges. oi.
...and i need to have it roughly finished by sunday. and i'm at work till 6 this morning, and the same tomorrow night. yeahhhhh.

they're payin me, though, so that doesn't suck either. not a lot, but still; getting my gas and a low budget version of my day rate [heh. i have a day rate, now] ain't too bad.
