anybody interested in "acting" in some guerrilla spots in support of the WGA strike?

[livejournal.com profile] themonkeycabal came up with the idea last night while we were brainstorming ideaness...riffing on the Speechless spots currently airing at Deadline Hollywood Daily, they'd be short pieces - breaking the fourth wall - where fans are filming scenes they've made up for their fave shows now that shows have gone dark. every piece would either be not funny, or badly done, or doesn't work, or fans descend into a meta argument about how the characters would never say that, or, [insert writer name here] would never end the season that way, etc.

it could even be a spot showing the crew, trying to film the scene, and how it's not working, or there's not the right gear, or the first AD sucks cuz he's the director's 12 year old nephew, with the actors costumed in the backround, standing on their marks waiting. or something.

and then the screen goes black. text then comes on, "it's better on television" - or some variation of that tag - and then "fans for X support the WGA" - or some similar variation.

i'd like to shoot them next weekend, at least a couple of them, and get 'em up on youtube.

and if anyone out there not on the Left Coast wants to play along at home, feel free. my caveat is this; DO NOT use dialogue already shot. the whole point of this is, like, short vidding fanfic, yanno? because we want more and we can't get it because of the strike, but the material MUST be original, or spoofed, and acted by fans. unless of course you happen to have some SAG actors in your circle of friends, in which case, knock yo'self out.
