windy sunday
Mar. 23rd, 2008 09:47 amfor those who are so inclined, i bid you a Happy Easter. for those not, i wish you a Happy Spring.
sitting in the corner window spot - near one of the only outlets in the store - i can see the palm trees and purple flower blooming trees, and the Santa Anas and rain have wiped the valley clear of any smog. in any direction you look from this base-of-the-mountains spot you see the area really *is* surrounded by mountain ranges on all sides, a few still capped with snow. you forget that fact sometimes when looking east and south as the slope of the valley descends. whenever an LA-ite asks me why i refuse to move to Oz, i simply break out a photo i took on a day like today and they make jealous noises and nod their heads in understanding.
am here doing work i brought home - note the hour and be horrified for the completeness of my daywalker transformation - and Starbucks is spinning one of their compilation discs, "Bella Luna". the music reminds me of all the parties, holidays and random get togethers growing up in an italian household. if i played "what's the most embarrassing thing on your ipod" - a game quite popular on the lot - i'm pretty sure my secret Dean Martin love would never trump the head of digital's Andy Gibb obsession. a fact that i find myself ridiculously happy about.
anywho....a "random thoughts" seemed overdue and it feels appropriate to be doing a "first in a while" post on the portal of spring.
hope all on the flist are well. :::hugs them tight:::
