forgive me if i have a really, really, really, really hard time believing this.

2 dollar bills are legal tender. i can't fathom how this man got arrested. i just can't fathom that. call a bank. call the secret service, since they have a 24hr law enforcement hotline. hell, call your watch commander. wtf?

if true, that man will not only win a lovely lawsuit against the agency that arrested him, falsely, for not even a crime, or a sort of crime, or a kind of crime, or attempting a crime thereof, but he will win a lovely lawsuit against Best Buy. stupid fucks.

we can all SEE it happening, have all dealt with similary stupid people. It was $114 bucks, did the MGR have his head so far up his ass that he didn't wonder what was going on? I mean you cannot pay to get rid of this kind of bad publicity. So if you are not sure, elevate it to the next supervisor, maybe they are old enough to remember $2's... But to call the police and all. OI!

oh i know. i read that. i just can't see how it's possible because they are a legal tender bill. unless, the officer believed the legal tender bill was actually counterfeit, in a fake legal tender bill kinda way, versus a there is no 2 dollar bill kinda way. but still. stupid.

totally stupid. that poor man... and yet i'm trying not to giggle, 'cause i helped chaperone a dance last week and one of the too-cool-for-school seventh grade boys used a $2 bill to buy pizza and Pepsi, and i didn't even think to call the cops. d'oh!
