there are reasons why sfs.com ran the way it did, had the governing philosophies it did. so we wouldn't look like this:

way to not be grounded in any sense of reality and lie to your fellow fans by pretending to be an industry "producer". way to not exhibit any sense of knowledge of the industry one supposedly works in, and ignore WGA rules and intellectual property rights and copyright law and basic entertainment contract processes. and way to out yourself as a sockpuppet by saying stuff like you've been on top of the situation by posting from an internet cafe for the last four hours [because the company you supposedly work for doesn't give you office space?] and that you can keep harassing calling Paramount all day because you have plenty of calling cards [because said lack of office space means you don't have a phone either?]?

if i plant some tomatoes in the front yard that makes me a "producer" too.

anybody want in on the betting pool of how long it'll take Paramount to slap these fucknuts with a C&D? anyone? bueller?

but just reading through that was interesting to note that fandoms are just fandoms and they attract trolls regardless... as for this Al guy... if he thinks disembling later about how deal fell through or whatever will appease people, he's not counting on how cough*obsessive*cough fans can be. I can't figure his angle. He reminds me of a software salesman I know... Talking a frelling HUGE game [SAP in that case] and I kept asking for varification, and not getting any. There are going to be some pissed people when this goes to hell. Either he's an idiot or a liar... but there is this secret small space in me that wants to believe this stuff... I just don't think a hidebound corp like paramount, that basically told fans to farq off before, would suddenly become one of the most foreward thinking media conglomerates in history. The only way to make all this happen esp. fan involvement, would be to have fans sign their lives away to submit a plotline... or to go digital commons, and there's no profit in that... thus no interest from a FOR PROFIT entity...

I'm glad "Three Chicks and Sundry" came up with a good course for SFS. Good enough for defacto leadership... 'tis a rare thing {{{{{TiMI, SOC, Killer}}}}} ;)
