The upshot this season were two of TV's best new series, FX's Rescue Me and Sci Fi's Battlestar Galactica (the best space adventure since Sci Fi's own Farscape).

hee. they are just *never* gonna live that down.

and THEN!:

1. Time games

All right, networks, repeat after me: Shows start and end on the hour or half-hour.

That means, ABC, that Desperate Housewives should end at 10, not 10:02; and Alias should start at 9, not 9:01. As for NBC's long-established habit of starting ER at 9:59 — stop it. You networks keep playing these games with viewers, and someone's going to get hurt. And trust me, it's going to be you.

do you remember about a million years ago i asked you about this show called farscape? can't believe it's been so long. i'm seeing season 3 for the first time. i love stark. i think he might be my favorite. also watching the second season of lfn. ah, mikey could be such a shit:-)

I'm guessing that the odd start/end times are designed to keep people from switching channels (or possibly just to throughly screw over the DVR people). Way annoying ABC.

I know frelling ABC screwed up my Lost experience. We were out and had to record the episode where we got Shannon and Boone's backstory. Watched it that weekend and it just cut right out with Shannon's bloody body in the stream. Then the following Wednesday, there she was, starting a relationship with Sayid.

I now tack on several minutes before and after when I record. Jerks.

I always try and do that.
I was looking at the TV guide a few weeks ago to see if Los & Alias were new and what was on after Alias on ABC and I couldn't find anything at the correct times (you know 8am, 9pm & 10pm). Then I found them at 8pm Lost 61 minutes.....Alias at 9:01 (61 minutes) and then the next show (I think it was the premier of Eyes) started at 10:02 (58 minutes).
