Jun. 22nd, 2009 10:25 pmknow what happens when i go into a brick and mortar store and purchase a book, pages and all? it doesn't disappear.
i get wanting e-copies of stuff to read. i get not wanting to lug a book around. i do. but the only way a book on my shelf disappears is if i give it away - there's something you can't do with a Kindle - or it was one of those rare times the dog got hungry....and then only the corners disappeared, really, so, you know, good dog.

Really, I do prefer bound books for reading, there's just something real and true about holding a book in your hands that you can't get from balancing a laptop on your knees in bed.
