In light of what is happening in Iran, I find it ironic, but mostly just sad, that a powerful corporation can shut down a lawful, peaceful assembly of citizens who want nothing more than to have their voices heard by their government. Disgusting.

it's a symptom of the larger disease of current political thought -and on a larger scale, public discourse in general. we *must* work to get back to a place where we discuss our political disagreements as adults, where we remember that this country was founded on allowing, willingly allowing, all voices to have their say and respecting those voices, and that that dissent, is legitimate, necessary and right.
to take an action like this, on the eve of America's celebration of our Independence, is utterly abhorrent.
