Jun. 27th, 2009 10:10 pmhaving been forced to endure Larry King at mom's house this evening, i found myself feeling volumes of respect for Usher. it was a first, and most curious sensation.
dear press, fuck.off.about.his.death.already. no love WHATsoever, me.
in other t.v. news....watched the first 15 minutes of Virtuality. not even for teh hawt Detective Amsterdam and Peter Berg's directing can i stomach ANOTHER MINUTE of Ron Moore's pretentious preaching. you hatemankind the world and we're all doomed. yeah, yeah, i got it the first two times you hit me over the head with it.
i now return myself to the delightful silliness and, actually quite well done 3D, of AT's Sanctuary. there's a stylistic use to it which i actually like, as if they aren't trying particularly hard to hide the fact that almost every single thing is green screen, which gives it a certain look.
surprisingly enjoying the pilot. of course, her accent is complete rubbish, but it's AT, and i can forgive her much. also, you totally get to play spot-the-Stargate-actor, which is always fun.
dear Digital Domain guys that did the work for the G.I. Joe trailer; you could learn a lot about contact shadows from AT's peeps. ijs.

Date: 2009-06-28 06:56 am (UTC)and Berg's work is always great, as is the dp...Scott, something...McLellan, i think? even the basic premise - well, aside from the zomg, man and civilization are ev0L parasites upon humanity bullshit - was intriguing.
maybe they'll find confirmation of an underground ocean on that moon of Saturn, and RDM can go live there instead.
