question for peoples smarter than me:

i see Comic Con announcing programming in Rooms 6BCF. anyone that's attended with any regularity knows that the room structure was 6BCDEF, or, 6CDEF.

last time i checked the alphabet, the letters D and E precede the letter F and follow the letter B...as in, they're in the middle. right?

sooooooooooooo, how can they have programming in F, that's also in B and C but not in D and E, which are, you know, right in the middle of the room?

the roomie posited that perhaps, finally, CC is live streaming in satellite "viewing" rooms - something i have bitched about for years...and by "bitched" i mean, not just whined aloud but also sent polite emails every single year to the staff.

i can't hold my breath for that as the reason, but it *is* the only thing that makes any sort of sense.

thoughts?

What makes me cranky about this is that they put Torchwood with Being Human in essentially one time slot, and in a tiny room (compared to last year). Yeah, that's gonna work.

heh, slice and dice and make julienne fries?

I'm wondering about videofeeds to other rooms, and the contractural definition of "broadcast"... I could see potential where the appearence contract would get weird about that, but i may be overthinkin'

well, they already "broadcast" by streaming the feed to the screens, but yeah, we've always wondered that ourselves. mostly, though, we're wondering if it's simply space and additional staff.

see, I believe if it's a closed circuit in that room, it isn't considered "broadcast" for the legalities of the contract, because only the people in the room at the time can see it, and they can see the person live as well... but that's conjectural. Occam's Razor suggests you are correct about space and staff. Cynical me says that they don't do it because "nobody has ever done that before..." You'd be surprised how often that excuse is used. Or maybe you wouldn't be...
