Disney bought Marvel this morning. color me stunned, and not terribly happy.

Wow. That's not a combination I would have thought of.

Well, they are doing a decent job with distributing Miyazaki movies, so maybe this won't be so bad.

Marvel has Garth Ennis (on occasion), Warren Ellis (ditto), and Jason Aaron (not on an exclusive deal, but close enough). Disney owned Miramax when they distributed Reservoir Dogs, The Crow, Trainspotting, and Pulp Fiction. I suspect Disney knows exactly what they're up against as far as content, and is only aiming for the merchandising and theme park stuff.
