*shakes head* Wow, just wow. I feel such sympathy for them. Everyone must have experienced this at some time; in my case, my old boss once deleted our entire file directory from our (fortunately) network drive, and it took only a day to restore the data that had been entered since the last backup. But nearly a whole movie, millions of dollars and hundreds of hours of work? That's the kind of thing people lose their jobs over.
Such a relief to know they were able to find that single copy.
Now, that was a gripping Hollywood drama, I tell you. O_O
you should have seen the look on my dfx sup's face when i told him the story. best face fall ever.
probably because we came >< this close to loosing the front half of our season when our main storage crashed and the file system didn't want to recognize itself anymore. good times.
